Focused on the promotion of elements showing the contemporary cultural profile of Lesvos Island, combined with its rich cultural history, the Cultural Tourism Network aims at the overall development of the local community towards the following directions
:- To promote in an organized way the comparative cultural advantage of Lesvos Island, so that new types of visitors choose Lesvos as their travel destination and mass tourism is avoided.
- To bring out the remarkable aspects of Lesvian culture, in order for these aspects to become the main visitors’ attraction.
- To create local cooperation networks and develop the fields of social solidarity and volunteerism.
- To develop the island’s social economy by lengthening the tourist season. |
