It is clear that an organized, long-termed and essential cooperation amongst all organizations and persons involved in culture and tourism will have a profound impact towards the development of the local community of Lesvos Island:- Professionals in the field of tourism will be able to develop their business through a spirit of cooperation and professionalism, aiming amongst others to expand the tourist season beyond July and August. - Local cultural associations and other NGOs will be able to gain a constant support to their work, to promote and expand their actions and products.- Artists and craftsmen of the local community will have the opportunity to promote their work and products, to develop enterprise, to acquire new skills and a new kind of sensitivity by getting in contact with persons from different cultures. - Finally, the visitors of Lesvos from Greece or abroad will be able to get acquainted with the island’s culture, to discover different aspects of contemporary Greece and make their travel a creative experience.
